Suryasta is the Sanskrit word for Sunset. Visiting Key West, Florida, Karen found inspiration in the island's sunsets, known for their staggering beauty. No matter what happens in our lives, the sun still rises and sets. We often have trouble saying goodbye, but letting go brings with it the promise of a fresh start, a new day. We cannot take in the present without letting go of the past. We cannot take a full inhale without first exhaling completely. With our fresh, unceremonious (some might call it irreverent) approach to yoga and meditation, you'll find your most enjoyable and effective practice here.

She has been teaching at Butler University as Artist in Residence since 1989. Through her flute teaching, she has explored breathing techniques, body alignment, and the Alexander Technique, confirming to herself time and again that the body itself is our primary instrument. She discovered yoga in 1995 and completed her 200 hour certification from Cityoga in 2013. Since then , she has taught hundreds of yoga classes at studios, fitness centers, schools, and corporate venues in the Indianapolis area.

A professional singer and university professor, Thaddaeus was introduced to yoga while studying music in college. He began practicing regularly in 2015 at The Yoga Studio, Indianapolis, seeking flexibility for and recovery from the physical rigors of operatic performance which requires, among other things, physical strength, endurance, breath control, mental focus and stress management. He found that the benefits of yoga extend far beyond the confines of the studio. Thaddaeus completed the teacher training program at the Yoga and Ayurveda Center in 2020 .
He is passionate about sharing his love for the practice and helping others find the yoga that best serves them.
